The Mango season is in full swing all over India. There are ’00s of varieties of this King of Fruits grown in ever District of the country. Each variety is unique in taste and time of availability. The fruit will be available till almost July end although in Maharashtra the last of the mangoes will be Rajapuri, from Rajapur area in Konkan, available till June-end.

The Mango as a fruit has been as much part of India’s history as are the Princes, Maharajahs and Emperors.  Madhulika Dash has written this beautiful piece for Swarajya magazine. Its a wonderful read and you are sure to find some titbits never known before 🙂
